The charge carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. The Department of Commerce Office of Inspector General investigated.

Derek Wayne Sanson, 26, of North Charleston faces the same charge, as well as two counts of distribution of child pornography. The minimum penalty for a conviction of the distribution charge is five years in prison. The FBI investigated.
