Two arrested in Sangaree stabbing

Erik Kenneth King is charged with first-degree assault and battery after a Sangaree man was stabbed Wednesday.

Two men were arrested after a Sangaree man was stabbed.

Erik Kenneth King, 39, and Mark Allen Rynes, 29, were each charged with first-degree assault and battery, according to Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Dan Moon. A judge set their bond at $100,000 each Thursday.

The assault occurred about 7 p.m. Wednesday at 312 Longleaf Road. Deputies arrived to find a man with cuts on his chest. He was taken to a local hospital.

The Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate.
