Two arrested after North Charleston gas station holdup

Two suspects were arrested shortly after a North Charleston gas station holdup early Monday.

A clerk at the BP station at 2707 Ashley Phosphate Road told North Charleston police that two men, one armed with a gun, came into the store shortly before 1 a.m., according to an incident report. The men demanded money and fled on foot.

An officer reviewed surveillance video.

Daniel Thomas Hunter, 28, of Highway 165 in Ravenel was arrested and charged with armed robbery. He was booked into the Charleston County jail around 2:30 a.m. Monday.

The name and address of the second suspect were not released because he was listed as a juvenile.
