The weekend is full of Mardi Gras events for people and pets on Folly Beach and in Mount Pleasant.

What: Celebrate Black History Month at Middleton Place with “Beyond The Fields” walking tours and view Eliza’s House where an exhibit focuses on the daily lives of slaves and their work beyond the fields.

When: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily through Feb.
