(File/David Quick) The third annual benefit for the Surfer's Healing Folly Beach Camp will take place noon-5 p.m. today at the Loggerhead's Beach Grill at Folly Beach. All proceeds will go towards supporting the camp, which helps children with autism.

What: A morning creek paddle along the Hampton Creek followed by a walk in the woods. Walking shoes, bug spray, food and beverages are recommended.

When: 9 a.m.

Where: Sewee Visitor and Environmental Education Center, Highway 17 North, Awendaw

Price: $35 General admission, $25 for ages 11 and younger

What: The Cainhoy Community Center will be wrapping up its Summer Reading Program with food, jump castles, balloon artists, face painting, games, crafts and meeting some real-life hometown heroes.

What: Each Saturday throughout the growing season, Mixson Farmers Market partners with GrowFood Carolina to provide a one-stop shop for fresh produce grown by S.C. farmers. You can also expect to find fresh veggies from Sow Seasonal, Mixsons on-site farm that is cultivated by Chris Miller. In addition to seasonal fruit and vegetables, the Farmers Market also stocks local cheeses, fresh breads, artisanal grains, honey, jams, jellies, and other goodies.
