Charleston Restaurant Week will feature more than 100 participating restaurants with prix fixe lunch and dinner menus.

What: The North Charleston Artist Guild's winter showcase exhibit, "Inspire to Create: Create to Inspire," displays guild members' works, including paintings, mixed media, sculpture and more.

What: Middleton Place invites local residents to visit during the month of January and enjoy half-price admission to the gardens and stableyards, with complimentary half-hour garden tours.

What: "Art with a Twist: Twisting the Art of Memoir with Katherine McCaughan," presented by the Gibbes Museum of Art, will feature young-adult genre author Katherine McCaughan, with a discussion and signing of her novel, "Natasha Lands Down Under," an examination of the issues of migration and adaptation, based on her personal experiences. A box lunch will be served.

What: During Charleston Restaurant Week, participating restaurants will offer a separate fixed price dinner menu, which will showcase their best dishes at discounted prices. Several restaurants will offer lunch options. Smart phone apps are also available.
