FILE PHOTO/GRACE BEAHM This year’s Charleston Symphony Designer Showhouse, also known as the James Sanders House on Wentworth Street, built in 1851, will be open for tours today from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

What: The great outdoors will provide the backdrop for this yoga class and instructors will guide participants through a flowing series of yoga postures, while maintaining a focus on alignment and breath to build flexibility and strength. Open to ages 16 years and older, for all fitness levels.

What: The Charleston Symphony Orchestra League’s 39th annual Designer Showhouse at 156 Wentworth St. is an elegant antebellum single house located in Harleston Village. Constructed circa 1851, the James Sanders House seamlessly blends beautiful period features with modern amenities, transformed into a showcase by some of the Lowcountry’s most talented interior designers. Proceeds to benefit the Charleston Symphony Orchestra and the league’s music scholarships.

What: The 12th annual Betty Cannon Golf Tournament will benefit Respite Care Charleston, a non-profit organization that strives to improve the quality of life for individuals and families coping with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Respite Care Charleston provides social day programs, support groups for early stage Alzheimer’s disease and caregiver support groups for individuals and families affected by memory disorders.
