What: The Homegrown Farmers Market on Johns Island features local farmers, artisans, food vendors, live music, interactive kids activities and a bounce house.

What: Search for alligators on an educational journey to learn why these large reptiles carry the special title of keystone species. A registered and paid chaperone is required for participants ages 15 and under. Pre-registration required.

What: Hosted by the Dorchester County EMS, The Summer Safety Festival will feature a variety of summer safety and healthcare topics for children, adults and seniors. Live performances from local artists and organizations will occur throughout the day on the main stage. A bicycle safety course will be there to teach safe riding skills to children. Children will also be able to bounce and race their way through jump castles, get their faces painted and enjoy interactive demonstrations and activities designed to teach them how to stay safe this summer. Community healthcare providers will also be on site to provide information and free health screening services.

What: A bowling-themed fundraiser to help raise money to pay for an upcoming surgery for 7 year old Brody. a child with Cerebral Palsy, which has severely hindered his ability to walk on his own and causes him to be non-verbal. This surgery is to finally get him to be able to walk unassisted. Raffles and auctions will be held at the event which will include prizes and packages from the Charleston Riverdogs, Holy City Brewing, The Quarters on King, Glazed Gourmet Doughnuts, Children's Museum of the Lowcountry, Lowcountry Valet & Shuttle and more.
