The Citadel Board of Visitors today approved tuition and fee increases that will raise mandatory student costs by just under 3 percent, slightly less than the institution’s Finance Committee had recommended.
For in-state students The Citadel’s “all-in” cost will rise by $615, to $25,442 for freshmen and $21,376 for sophomores, juniors and seniors. The all-in cost includes mandatory expenses such as on-campus housing, uniforms purchased during the freshman year, haircuts and meals.
For out-of-state students, the all-in cost will rise $1,163, to $44,243 for freshmen and $40,177 for sophomores, juniors and seniors.
The Citadel board’s Finance Committee had recommended a 3.2 percent tuition increase at the end of May.
