Take Back the Night march tonight in Charleston

The one-mile march will start at the Unitarian Church on Archdale Street and continue through the College of Charleston’s campus.

The event, part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, honors survivors of violence in the tri-county area.

On April 26, PAR will hold an event at Marion Square. The festivities, from 2-5 p.m., will include live entertainment, food, games, giveaways, and activities for children and adults.

The theme of this year’s events is “Stop the Violence.” The keynote speaker will be victim advocate Alison Jennings.

PAR offers support and services for survivors of sexual assault in Charleston, Dorchester and Berkeley counties. The nonprofit’s 24-hour hotline is 745-0144.
