Summerville police asked for help identifying this man, who is accused of trying to rob the South Carolina Federal Credit Union Friday morning.

Summerville police asked for help Friday identifying a man accused of attempting to rob a credit union.

A man dressed in a camouflage shirt, baseball cap and sunglasses walked into South Carolina Federal Credit Union, 9999 Dorchester Road, and demanded cash, police Capt. Jon Rogers said. The incident happened about 9:15 a.m., he said.

The man did not present a weapon but said he was armed, police said. No one was injured during the incident, according to Rogers.

The robber fled the credit union without getting any money, credit union spokeswoman Meredith H. Siemens said.

Police described the suspect as being about 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a medium build.

Anyone with information on the suspect can call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
