Charleston Police have arrested a suspect in an Oct. 12 burglary at an Encampment Court apartment on James Island.

Quentin Stephen Hale, 41, of Encampment Court, is charged with second-degree burglary and property crime enhancement. Hale, who is wanted in Colorado for a parole violation on drug charges, is being held in the Al Cannon Detention Center, police spokesman Charles Francis said.

The incident occurred about 3:30 p.m. when the victim returned home and found that someone had removed a screen from a rear window, Francis said. Nothing was taken from the residence, he said.

Police did not say how they tied Hale to the break-in.

The investigation is ongoing, Francis said.
