The forecast calls for a high near 55, compared to the 59 degrees that's normal for this date. Tonight should be clear, with a low around 35 degrees.

New Year's Day should be mostly sunny, with a high near 57 and overnight low around 43.

Cloudy skies are expected for Friday, with a high near 59 and a 30 percent chance of rain in the afternoon. The chance of rain increases to 40 percent Friday night, with an overnight low around 48.

Rain remains in the forecast Saturday, with a 40 percent chance both during the day and overnight. Saturday's high should be near 66, with an overnight low a balmy 61 degrees.

The chance of rain remains at 40 percent Sunday, with a high near 70.
