SUMTER, S.C. - Sumter County authorities have charged a 20-year-old woman with murder after the body of her live-in boyfriend was found at their home.

Sumter County Sheriff's Lt. Robert Burnish said deputies responding to a call Saturday found the body of 21-year-old Mallory Jerell Richardson on the living room floor of a mobile home.

Burnish said Helen Louise Wells admitted to officers that she stabbed her live-in boyfriend with a knife after an argument.

Wells is being held in the Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center. No bond has been set and it couldn't be determined if she has an attorney.
