Summerville police want help finding suspect in payday loan robbery

Summerville police want help identifying this approximately 50-year-old man suspected of using a weapon Tuesday to rob Carolina Payday Loans on Trolley Road.

Summerville police detectives have asked for the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of holding up a payday loans store Tuesday morning.

The armed robbery was reported around 11:50 a.m. after an approximately 50-year-old man entered Carolina Payday Loans at 320D Trolley Road, pulled out some sort of a weapon and demanded cash, Summerville Police Department spokesman Capt. Jon Rogers said.

Nobody was injured.

The man got some cash and left in a Dodge pickup truck, Rogers said. Surveillance cameras caught video of the suspected robber as he left.
