Authorities on Friday arrested a Summerville man suspected of downloading child pornography.
Eric Kevin Moore II, 23, faces 10 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, the S.C. Attorney General’s Office announced in a news release. The felony charge carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison.
Berkeley County sheriff’s deputies and the state’s Internet Crimes Against Children task force made the arrest, the release said. Hanahan police assisted in the investigation.
Authorities believe Moore downloaded the illegal material from a file-sharing site. The Attorney General’s Office will prosecute the charges, the release said.
