Berkeley County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a Summerville man after he fled during a traffic stop in which they found an active mobile meth lab on the moped he was driving.
Jamey Marshall Koon, 36, is wanted on a charge of manufacturing methamphetamine, according to Berkeley County spokesman Michael Mule.
Officers stopped Koon about 1:30 p.m. for a traffic violation while he was driving a moped off of St. James Avenue.
After producing a driver’s license, Koon allegedly fled the area on foot. The meth lab was found after he took off, Mule said.
Anyone with information about Koon’s whereabouts is asked to call the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office at 719-4424.
