Charleston Animal Society is teaming up with Kia Country of Charleston to offer Lowcountry residents a $25 discount to spay and neuter their pets.
The event is part of World Spay Day, an international campaign of The Humane Society of the United States, Humane Society International, and Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association, according to a media release.
Spay or neuter procedures at Charleston Animal Society cost between $60 and $100. The discounted procedure must be scheduled Tuesday, but appointments can be made for anytime through Dec. 31, the release states.
The organization has four veterinarians who specialize in spay-neuter procedures, and conduct 12,000 procedures each year — more than any other organization in South Carolina, the release states.
To receive the discount, spay and neuter procedures must be scheduled before midnight Tuesday. The first 25 online registrants will get their pets’ procedure free, the release states.
Residents can sign up at www.CharlestonAnimalSociety.org/spay-neuter or by calling the clinic at 556-7729.
