State Law Enforcement Division agents on Tuesday arrested a Goose Creek man accused of selling more than $10,000 worth of stolen equipment and pocketing the money.

Dan Daniels, 56 of Loganberry Circle, is charged with one count of Breach of Trust with Fraudulent Intent, SLED spokesman Thom Berry said. If convicted on the penalty charge Daniels could face up to 10 years in prison or a fine, he said.

An arrest affidavit for Daniels states that Daniels sold equipment that belonged to a man while performing business as Lynches River Land Company. The fraud occurred in the Pageland area of Chesterfield County.

Bank records, contracts and various correspondences corroborated the allegation, the affidavit states.
