A man died Saturday night from injuries sustained in a single-car wreck in Adams Run.
John Tuttle, 39, from Charleston died at the scene from blunt force trauma, according to deputy coroner Kelly Kraus.
The wreck happened on Parkers Ferry Road in Adams Run at about 9 p.m. A 1996 Mercedes was traveling south on Parkers Ferry Road, ran off the road at Weeks Road and struck a utility pole, according to a news release from Maj. Jim Brady, public information officer for the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office.
A 6-year-old passenger whose name was not released was unharmed.
Both were wearing seatbelts, and speed and alcohol appeared to be contributing factors in the accident, according to the release.
A copy of the report was unavailable.
