Simpsonville man arrested on child-porn charges after Charleston police investigation

A Charleston police investigation into child porn has led to another arrest, according to the state Attorney General’s Office.

Saul Perez Tello, 52, of Simpsonville was charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of minors. The Richland County Sheriff’s Office arrested him Friday after an investigation by Charleston Police Detective Doug Galluccio, who is with the department’s cyber crime division and child exploitation investigations unit.

Investigators say Tello was involved in sending child pornography via file sharing.

The Attorney General’s Office will prosecute the case. Each charge is punishable by up to 10 in prison.

Last week, a Charleston police investigation led to the arrest of 41-year-old Gaffney man on child-porn charges.
