The city of Charleston has moved a Wednesday planning meeting on the development of the Sergeant Jasper site to a bigger room at 75 Calhoun St., the city said Tuesday.
The Beach Company is asking the Charleston Planning Commission to amend the city’s Century V plan to allow residential and commercial development near Colonial Lake. The commission also will consider a request to change the 6.4-acre property’s zoning to a planned unit development.
To accommodate the large crowd expected, the meeting will be held on the first floor in the school board meeting room instead of on the third floor, the city said. The meeting will begin at 5 p.m.
