SC deputies charge man with killing woman found in Lyman

LYMAN, S.C. — A Lyman man has been charged with killing a woman found dead at the scene of a possible burglary.

Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Lt. Kevin Bobo said in a statement that 32-year-old Justin Payton Paris is charged with murder, armed robbery and kidnapping in the stabbing death discovered Tuesday evening at his home in Lyman.

The coroner’s office said the victim was Amie Carol Suttles Cordova of Honea Path.

Bobo says officers were called to the home that Paris shares with his mother and her husband, who called, saying a door had been moved.

The woman’s body was found inside.

Greenville County deputies arrested Paris on unrelated charges after he was found in a vehicle connected to the woman’s death.

It was not clear if Paris has an attorney yet.
