S.C. Highway Patrol officials this morning asked for help gathering information on a hit-and-run wreck that left one person dead.
Two vehicles collided about 8:45 p.m. Tuesday on I-95 near mile marker 45 in Colleton County, according to the Highway Patrol. A 1997 Chrysler that was heading north ran off the road and hit several trees, killing the driver.
The other vehicle left the scene, according to the report. The Highway Patrol is investigating.
Colleton County Coroner Rich Harvey identified the driver who died as Catherine Foley, 58, of Glen Cove, N.Y.
