A student at Rollings Middle School of the Arts in Summerville has been suspended after being caught with a steak knife Thursday, authorities said.
Administrators found inappropriate items, including a steak knife, in the student’s book bag, Dorchester School District Two spokeswoman Pat Raynor said. This incident was investigated and the student was suspended, she said.
There were no safety issues or disruption to other students or to the school day, Raynor said. Parents were informed of the incident, she said.
