Robbers tied up employees at North Charleston tax business with duct tape

Armed robbers used duct tape to tie up employees at a Rivers Avenue tax business before stealing money from them Monday morning, according to North Charleston police.

The robbery was reported shortly before 10 a.m. at Liberty Tax Service at 3443 Rivers Ave. Employees told officers that two men wearing hooded sweatshirts and black bandanas over their faces entered the business, and one brandished a gun, police spokesman Spencer Pryor said. The men bound the employees with the tape and took money from them and the safe, he said.

The suspects were described only as black and medium height.
