A robber at a Circle K store decided not to hang around after being told that it would take 10 minutes to get the safe opened, according to a North Charleston police report.
A man with a black bandana covering his face entered the 8410 Dorchester Road store about 1:25 a.m. Monday, pointed a black revolver at the clerk and demanded money. After getting the contents of two cash registers, the gunman asked about the safe and where it was located, the report said.
When told the safe had a 10-minute delay before it could be opened, “the gunman stated never mind,” and demanded the clerk get face down on the floor. The robber was gone moments later, the report said.
The robber was described as black, 20 to 30 years old, 6 feet tall, 200 pounds and with a black toboggan style hat. He wore a black long-sleeved shirt with a white logo on the left sleeve, black gym pants and black shoes, the report states.
