Red Cross helping two Summerville residents after home fire

Two people were displaced from their Summerville home Sunday after a fire, according to the American Red Cross.

Volunteers with the organization responded to the home on West First North Street, along with the Summerville Fire Department.

The Red Cross provided financial assistance to the displaced residents for temporary lodging and gave them comfort kits and referrals to partner agencies to help with long-term recovery.

No details about the fire were available late Sunday.
