Reader photos: You were up in the clouds; now show us where you live

By Joyce Davis of Charleston: This picture was taken from a balcony in Myrtle Beach just before sunrise.

Your heads — well, cameras — were definitely up in the clouds this week, and we loved everything you had to show us.

Ultimately, we fell most in love with Joyce Davis’ photo of a mouse in the clouds. It was scenic and fun, without being over-manipulated.

Honorable mention goes to Academic Magnet ninth grader Adriana Ballinger. Find her photo, as well as all the other submissions, in the gallery.

Next assignment: Where I live

We’re looking to highlight communities in every corner of the Lowcountry. Send us photos that capture the spirit of your community, from Summerville to West Ashley, East Cooper to downtown Charleston.

The rules:

- Send just one (1) photograph to yourphotos@postandcourier.com by noon on Thursday, May 28. Include your name, town and where the photo was taken. If you send us multiple photos we will select one randomly.

- We will allow photographs with reasonable watermarks to run in the gallery but for the winning photo that runs in the newspaper we must have a photo that does not have a watermark. If you want to send us one with the watermark (to run online) and one without (to possibly run in the newspaper) please feel free.

- The top pick each week will be featured in the Sunday Arts & Culture section and appear on The Post and Courier Facebook page.
