Though not everyone submitted photos taken where they actually reside for our “Where I Live” contest, they all kept the spirit of the competition alive by submitting some really nice photos of our beloved Lowcountry.
Though it was difficult to choose, our editors most appreciated the photo by Bill Lackner of Mount Pleasant of a couple enjoying a bike ride on Sullivan’s Island. His photo will be published in the Arts & Travel section of Sunday’s paper. Pick up a copy to read more about why our editors liked this photo so much.
Next assignment: A Day at the Park
Your next assignment is fertile ground: A Day in the Park.
We’re looking for scenic shots, fun photos and people at play photos that showcase county, municipal and state parks in every corner of the Lowcountry. Send us photos that capture the spirit of your favorite park, from Summerville to West Ashley, East Cooper to downtown Charleston.
- Send just one (1) photograph to email@example.com by noon on Thursday, June 25. Include your name, town and where the photo was taken. If you send us multiple photos we will select one randomly.
- We will allow photographs with reasonable watermarks to run in the gallery but for the winning photo that runs in the newspaper we must have a photo that does not have a watermark. If you want to send us one with the watermark (to run online) and one without (to possibly run in the newspaper) please feel free.
- The top pick each week will be featured in the Sunday Arts & Culture section and appear on The Post and Courier Facebook page.
