Former S.C. Treasurer Thomas Ravenel has settled his lawsuit over a $47,500 engagement ring.

Ravenel told The Post and Courier on Wednesday he didn’t get the ring back but that there was a settlement and the matter was resolved amicably.

Late last year he filed a complaint in New York’s Manhattan Supreme Court saying former fiancee Danielle Tosi, of an Upper East Side address, did not return the ring after the couple split in June.

Ravenel said the ring was a gift tied to the marriage and that with those plans over, he was entitled to the ring back.

The ring is described as a 2.7-carat diamond that Ravenel purchased around July 2009.

The complaint had been featured in New York media after it was filed.
