Someone bought a Powerball ticket near Goose Creek that is now worth $250,000, the S.C. Education Lottery said Monday.
The ticket was bought at the Food Lion store at 971-C Crowfield Blvd.
It matched four white ball numbers and the Powerball number in Saturday’s drawing. The odds of that winning combination were 1 in 913,129.
Because the buyer added PowerPlay to the ticket, the regular $50,000 prize was multiplied by five.
The clock is now ticking.
“Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes,” a lottery statement said.
The winning numbers Saturday were 19, 35, 46, 59 and 62. The Powerball was 13. Nobody matched them all.
The estimate jackpot in the upcoming drawing on Wednesday is $282 million.
