Charleston police are searching for a suspect who stole several tools from a shed on the peninsula.

Officers were called to a Dingle Street home about 11 a.m. on Tuesday concerning a burglary that had taken police, an incident report states.

A 33-year-old man told police that someone broke into the shed behind his home and stole three saws, a drill and an air compressor, the incident report states.

The items were worth about $420 total, police said.

The man also noticed unfamiliar shoe prints in the sand leading up to the shed, police said.

A suspect has not been identified in the incident.
