Police say a witnesses and video surveillance tape have given them a partial description of a suspect in the break-in early Monday at a pharmacy on Daniel Island.

An officer arriving at 3:52 a.m. at Delta Pharmacy on Seven Farms Drive discovered a glass door broken out. Damage was estimated at $350, according to a Charleston police report.

Two witnesses heard “a loud bang and then a boom” and saw a man leaving the store wearing blue jeans, white gloves and a red hoodie. The man departed in a newer model red Volkswagen Beetle, police spokesman Charles Francis said.

Apparently, nothing was taken in the break-in, the report said.

Francis said the suspect is believed to be 6 feet tall to 6 feet, 2 inches tall and about 220 pounds. The suspect’s race and gender could not be determined due to the clothing worn by the suspect.
