Charleston police are searching for a man who they say shoplifted from a West Ashley clothing store.
The man was caught on surveillance video about 5 p.m. Nov. 7 grabbing items off the clothes rack at TJ Maxx and cutting the sensors off with box cutters without paying for them, according to a Wednesday media release.
The black male is described as tall, heavy set and about 40-years-old. He was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, gray shows and a black hat, according to the release. He and another man drove away in a newer model white Grand Cherokee.
Anyone with information about the man is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 843-554-1111.
