Police are trying to identify masked men responsible for robbing two people at gunpoint in Mt. Pleasant almost two weeks ago.

On Oct 18 at around 11:07 p.m. a woman was in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart at 1481 Highway 17 when two men approached her, according to a police report. She told investigators they were black and wearing masks. One of them also wore a red bandana on his face.

They pointed a rifle at her and she froze, according to her statement to police. The woman was so shaken she was having a panic attack when police arrived, the report stated.

Surveillance video from the store shows the two men walking up to the woman’s driver’s side window and then walking away quickly, according to police.

A little more than an hour later, two men matching their description robbed a store clerk at the Kangaroo Express on Rouse Road, police said. The men pointed what the clerk described as a shotgun at him and took $100. No one has been arrested for either incident.
