Police release sketch of man who assaulted woman near College of Charleston

This is a police sketch of a man who assaulted a woman near C of C this morning.

A woman was sexually assaulted near the College of Charleston on Tuesday morning, according to police.

Police released a sketch of the man and are asking help finding him.

The woman told Charleston police she was walking near 24 Bull St. around 9:40 a.m. when she saw a man exposing himself. She continued walking east and the man came up behind her, grabbed her and sexually assaulted her, then ran west on Bull Street, she told police.

She described her attacker as a white man between 20 and 30 years old, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches tall, of medium build, with sandy blond hair and blue or hazel eyes.

C of C Public Safety also is investigating.
