A torso surfaced Tuesday in the Charleston Neck area at Dolphin Cove Marina, a little more than two weeks after a human leg was found there, according to Charleston police.
Dispatch received a call just before 8 p.m. Police, fire and EMS crews are currently on scene. The Charleston County coroner has also been notified of the recovered body part.
It is unclear if the found torso is related to the leg found June 13. Officials are still awaiting DNA testing on the leg before releasing any more details about it.
A worker found the leg at the marina, which is located along the Ashley River east of the King Street Extension, Charleston police initially reported.
