Charleston police released more details surrounding a shooting in West Ashley, but have not determined why those shots were fired Wednesday.
The shooting happened on Falkirk Drive shortly before 5:30 p.m., a Charleston Police Department incident report states.
Police responded to a dead end on the road and saw a wounded man seated on the ground, the report states.
Police identified the man as 20-year-old Joshua Leonard Worley of Rice Drive.
Worley received a gunshot wound to the left side of his face, but police spokesman Charles Francis could not elaborate on the extent of the injury.
Paramedics carried Worley to Medical University Hospital Wednesday, but the hospital no longer had him listed as a patient Thursday morning.
Detectives have not determined a possible motive, and a suspect has not been named, Francis said.
