A suspect in a North Charleston bank robbery earlier this month has been arrested.

James Gerald Jenkins Jr., 22, surrendered to police Sunday afternoon, according to a police report. He is being held in the Charleston County jail on $100,000 bail.

A man entered the Wells Fargo bank in the Brentwood Shopping Center about 12:30 p.m. April 15 and handed the teller a note that read: “Don’t try me or I’ll start shooting. Give me all the money now, $100 and $50 only. No funny games.” The teller gave him $1,186, a dye pack and a GPS tracker, according to North Charleston police.

A few days later, police issued an arrest warrant for Jenkins, of Peppercorn Lane, on a charge of entering a financial institution with intent to steal.
