Photos released of James Island school burglary suspect

Surveillance photos show a man breaking into James Island Charter High School at 10:18 p.m. on April 11.

Charleston police have released photos of a man they said broke into James Island Charter High School earlier this month.

Surveillance photos show the man going through a door at the school on Fort Johnson Road at 10:18 p.m. on April 11.

Police did not say if anything was taken.

The man is described as black, 5 feet 9 to 11 inches tall, weighing 220 to 240 pounds, wearing a printed gray or black T-shirt, cotton or jean shorts and gray tennis shoes.
