Pedestrian struck by pickup in Ladson, Highway Patrol troopers say

A pedestrian was transported to Trident Medical Center after being struck by a pickup truck Thursday night in Ladson.

A 2006 Dodge pickup was turning left onto College Park Road from a private driveway when the vehicle struck a 48-year-old pedestrian who was walking in the roadway shortly before 8 p.m., state Highway Patrol troopers reporter.

The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, according to Highway Patrol. The truck’s driver was not injured.
