Paul McCartney, Darius Rucker pay tribute to Emanuel AME shooting victims

Paul McCartney was in Columbia Thursday night playing at the Colonial Life Arena when he dedicated a song to the nine victims of last week’s shooting at Emanuel AME Church in downtown Charleston.

Before playing the 1970 Beatles hit “The Long And Winding Road,” McCartney said, “We pray that people of all colors will be able to live together in peace and harmony.”

On Friday, June 19, while performing in Austin, Texas, Charleston native Darius Rucker sang “Amazing Grace” acapella and ended the hymm by saying “#CharlestonStrong.”
