STAFF REPORT It will be partly cloudy today with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms and a high temperature in the low 80s, according to the National Weather Service.

The waters off Charleston remain choppy due to the departing Tropical Storm Alberto, and there is a small craft advisory in effect until noon and there also is a chance of rip currents near shore throughout the day.

Tonight will be partly cloudy with lows in the upper 60s.
