No one was injured in a mobile home fire in North Charleston this morning, authorities said.
Just after 9 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to reports of a mobile home on fire behind Lacy Lane, according to a news release from Fire Department spokeswoman Bianca Borbeau.
Neighbors reported heavy fire and smoke coming from the home, Borbeau said. First arriving firefighters found heavy smoke in the area and a fully engulfed single-wide mobile home at the corner of Otranto Road and Deerwood Drive, the release said.
It took about a half hour to extinguish the blaze. The mobile home was vacant and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
