New physical therapy clinic will open at Joint Base Charleston

A new $807,000 physical therapy clinic is opening at Joint Base Charleston-Weapons Station.

The Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center and Naval Health Clinic Charleston are opening a new physical therapy clinic at Joint Base Charleston-Weapons Station in Goose Creek.

The grand opening for the new $807,000 facility is scheduled for Wednesday.

The clinic will be staffed by two physical therapists, two physical therapy assistants and a medical services assistant.

A press release about the project indicates the clinic will improve wait times for veterans and Department of Defense beneficiaries who need physical therapy appointments.

To date, since the clinic started seeing patients in early April, more than 200 veterans have been treated, a VA spokeswoman said.
