BEAUFORT, S.C. — A new movie will be shot in Beaufort this fall.
Multiple media outlets reported that the comedy “Basement Bob” was announced at the opening reception of the Beaufort International Film Festival on Wednesday.
The film tells the story of a man who lives in his ex-wife’s basement and goes to extremes when she decides to sell the house.
It will be the first movie shot in Beaufort in more than a dozen years. The last film shot in Beaufort was “The Legend of Bagger Vance” starring Will Smith and Matt Damon.
