Mount Pleasant police seek suspects in credit card theft

Mount Pleasant police are searching for suspects accused of using a stolen credit card at the Kangaroo Express gas station on West Montague Avenue.

Mount Pleasant police are searching for four suspects accused of making purchases with a credit card that was stolen from a woman’s purse.

Two women’s purses were stolen from The Shelter Kitchen and Bar, according to Mount Pleasant Police Detective Paula Wilson,.

One of the women’s credit cards was used around 4:20 a.m. Nov. 16 at the Kangaroo Express gas station on West Montague Avenue, police said.

According to Wilson, surveillance images from the store show three people using the card, including a black man wearing a dark, long-sleeved jacket, a black man wearing a multi-colored jacket, and a white woman wearing a grey University of South Carolina sweatshirt. A fourth person is also wanted, she said.

The suspects had not been identified Friday afternoon.
