Mount Pleasant police searching for man accused of burglary, attempted sexual assault

Mount Pleasant police have asked for the public’s help identifying a burglary suspect depicted in this sketch.

Mount Pleasant police on Friday asked for the public’s help identifying a man suspected of burglarizing a home and an attempted sexual assault.

The incident occurred around 4 a.m. Friday at Harbor Pointe Apartments, 331 Harbor Pointe Drive in Mount Pleasant, police said.

The man is described as white, 23 to 26 years old, between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-9, with short black or brown hair, a short beard and a tan complexion, according to police. He wore tan shorts and a dark gray T-shirt with white lettering, police said.
