Mount Pleasant police release photo of bank holdup suspect

Police say this man held up the CresCom Bank on U.S. Highway 17 around noon Friday.

A Mount Pleasant bank was robbed around noon Friday, and police have released a photo of a suspect.

A man walked into the CresCom Bank on U.S. Highway 17 and demanded money, Inspector Chip Googe said. The man kept his hand in his pocket, alluding to a weapon, and left on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

A suspect caught on surveillance video has red hair and a medium beard. He appears to be 30 to 35 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, 150 to 170 pounds. He was wearing a black and red long-sleeve shirt with red lettering, dark shoes and black aviator-style sunglasses, and was carrying a black portfolio.
